We’re excited to kick off another awesome year at Morgan Middle School! This year is all about trying new things, working hard, and building lasting friendships while you learn.
At MMS, we follow POWER every day — Perseverance, Ownership, Wisdom, Enthusiasm, and Respect. These values guide everything we do, from the classroom to the cafeteria, from the hallways to the locker rooms. When you show POWER, you not only make school a better place for yourself but also help create a positive community for everyone. And don’t forget — when you demonstrate POWER, you can earn POWER tickets! These tickets can be traded in for some great prizes, so keep your eyes open for opportunities to show your best self.
One of the biggest ways you can set yourself up for success is by being here — and being here on time. Regular attendance matters. When you miss school, you miss out on lessons, class discussions, and connections with your friends and teachers. And when you’re late, it interrupts your learning and the learning of others. Arriving on time shows that you’re ready to learn and respect the time of those around you.
Our bell schedule helps keep us organized and moving through the day. Every class period matters, and being where you need to be, with your materials ready and your Chromebook charged, shows that you’re taking ownership of your learning. If you ever have questions about the schedule or need a pass, talk to your teacher or check in at the office.
The District’s Strategic Plan and our Portrait of a Graduate connect directly to what you’re doing right now in middle school. Critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication — these aren’t just high school skills, they’re middle school skills too. Every project, group activity, and challenge you take on this year helps prepare you for high school and life beyond.
So, Bulldogs — show POWER, be here every day, get to class on time, and take advantage of all the opportunities waiting for you. This year is your chance to grow, learn, and shine. Let’s make it Bulldog Strong, all season long!
