I'm excited for another fun and competitive season this year with the Morgan Middle School Girls Soccer team!
Our goal for this season is to encourage confidence in each player by developing fundamental soccer skills, improving physical strength and agility, motivating a positive mental attitude, and playing tactically together as a team. Each player will be challenged to bring their best effort and embrace a growth mindset to both improve individually and become a successful team player.

- Model expectations of players such as enthusiasm, sportsmanship, positive attitude, respect, leadership, cooperation, team spirit, and integrity.
- Encourage effort, positive attitude, and teamwork.
- Correct and motivate discipline with encouragement.
- Help players build confidence and play to win.

Playing time: Play time is not equal and will be determined by technical skill, tactical awareness, weekly performance, and demonstration of all player expectations.

- Support and encourage your daughter. "I love to watch you play!"
- Model team and all our player expectations listed above.
- Allow coaches to coach. Please, NO parent coaching from the sideline.
- Take pride in our team and community at all competitions by cheering for our team and modeling positive sportsmanship towards officials, opponents, and all the fans at any event.
- Accept the player roles given by coaches and appreciate the roles and contributions of every player on the team. Effort and development are the primary focus.
- Communicate with coaches as needed. Honor the โ24 hour concern policyโ where parents wait 24 hours following a game before communicating with coaches. โ

Start Date: Practice will begin on Monday, Aug 31, at Mountain View Park after school at 2:45 PM and will run to 4:30 PM.

First Week Schedule: The first week practice is MondayโWed, & NO PRACTICE Th/F 9/3 & 9/4.

Meeting Place: Players will meet the team at the MMS commons and join us as we walk to the park.

What to Bring: Players should bring soccer cleats, shin guards, and bottled water. ๐๐ง

Clearance: Players are required to be โAPPROVEDโ with BLUE SLIP by MMSโs front office before they can participate in any training session.
- Practices are competitive and players should be on time, ready, and focused.
- Attendance Policy:
- Unexcused absence = one game suspension.
- Excused absences will affect play time and players will not start if they miss practice.
๐ Game Day Travel & Bus

Schedule: All home games will take place at Mountain View Park on Mondays and Wednesdays. A schedule will be provided as soon as the season schedule is developed.

Post-Game: After games we will shake hands with the opponent and offer a sportsmanship award to one deserving player on the opponent's team. Players will briefly meet as a team post-game.

HOME Games: On HOME game days, we will be required to walk to Mountain View Park. Players will have to arrange their own transportation home from Mt. View. ๐

AWAY Games: On AWAY games the team will be transported via school transportation to away game locations and brought back to Morgan Middle School after the game. Players must have a ride home arranged as soon as the bus arrives at MMS from away games. Parents may bring your daughter home, but you must officially โsign them outโ after the game. โ๏ธ
