Homework support at school:
After School Homework Center is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 2:15-3:15 pm, and Wednesday from 12:35-2:15 at the Morgan Library. The Homework Center is staffed by a Morgan teacher. Also, please contact your child’s teachers if you have concerns. Teachers may be available to meet before or after school.
Sleep Hygiene:
Getting adequate sleep every night is essential for your child’s wellbeing and it gives them an even better chance at coming to school prepared to learn. Here are some sleep hygiene tips to help your student settle down at night!
Talking to your child regularly about school, friendships, and feelings can help make it much more likely that they will tell you if another student or a group of students are being unkind to them. It really sends a message to your child that you care about them if you put your phone away during this time and truly listen to what they have to say about how they are feeling. Build check-ins with your child into your daily routine so that it feels as natural and comfortable as possible to talk about how school is going and if your child has any concerns regarding their interactions with peers.
Bullying Curriculum: Students are taught about Bullying and Harassment in Advisory. Teachers use lessons from Second Step. If you would like more information on Second Step, please contact your childś school counselor. Reporting Bullying: Download the STOPit App to your phone or use the bookmarked link on your student’s chromebook. Students can log in using MMSBulldogs and parents can log in using MorganParents.
The STOPit app is another great tool students and families can use to report unkind behavior or bullying. STOPit can be accessed using the link below. We care about our students and want to make Morgan a safe and welcoming place for all! .
