Thank you to all of you who were able to join us for Open House last week! It was great to meet so many of you!

Mon., 9.21-

Volleyball travels to Naches

Soccer travels to Prosser

Tues.,9.22-

Chess Club meets after school in A338

7th Grade Football travels to Zillah

8th Grade Football takes on Kittitas at home (evidently, Zillah has a lot of injuries)

Wed., 9.23- Early Release

Homework Center after school until 2:15

Soccer takes on West Valley at home

Volleyball takes on West Valley at home

Thurs., 9.24

Cross Country meet at home

Parent Group, 6:00 PM, MMS Staff Lounge

Friday, 9.25

We have had some inquiries about picture day... it will be Friday, October 16th.

Attendance Awareness Month

📊 DID YOU KNOW? — Why Is Morgan Focusing on Attendance?

In 2025, 76% of Morgan students met Washington's regular-attendance standard, compared with 73% statewide and 71% in the Ellensburg School District. While we are above the state average, we have still seen a slight decline yearly in attendance that correlates with our student growth on student academic performance. We did see a slight increase in overall attendance in the 2025-2026 school year.

That’s progress - but this means about 1 in 4 Morgan students still missed enough school to fall outside the regular-attendance group.

We want to keep moving in the right direction.

🎯 Our goal: Fewer than 10 missed days.

🏆 90%+ attendance = eligible for schoolwide celebrations.

We're proud of our progress. Now let's keep improving together!
