State Testing Starts Next Week!!

The annual state testing season is upon us! Our goal is for students to have the opportunity to showcase their best without adding too much stress for them! They are ready for these and it will be just an extension of the great work they are already doing in classes!

April 27-29- 8th Grade Science Testing- this will take place in their regular science class with no adjusted schedules

May 4-8- ELA State Testing- for all grade levels. This one is a little different. While the students will take their tests in their regular ELA class, it is important that they get some sustained time to be able to write their essays. We will run an alternative bell schedule Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri of that week. Students will have extended class periods that week and will only attend half of their classes each of those four days. It will be published for you next week!

May 11-13- Math State Testing- for all grade levels. There will be no changes to the schedules and students will take this test in their regular math class.

These tests are helpful to us in showing us progress for individual students AND for helping us understand strengths and areas for focus on our system as well.

Please help your child remember to have a charged chromebook and be well rested for their testing days!
