Every Day Matters

As we begin the 2026–27 school year, we want to make regular attendance a priority from Day 1!

We know students sometimes need to miss school, and we understand that. But even excused absences mean missed learning, missed connections, and missed opportunities. We understand that challenges arise in this but Morgan Middle School is striving to keep continuity in instruction, learning, relationships, and routines.

Our goal is for every student to miss fewer than 10 days this school year whenever possible. 
A student who misses fewer than 10 days of school is present for more than 95% of the school year. That consistency matters!
Being at school regularly helps students:
📚 Keep up with instruction and assignments
🤝 Maintain relationships with teachers and friends
🔄 Stay connected to classroom routines and expectations
🎯 Build confidence and avoid falling behind
We know some absences are necessary. Our goal is simply to minimize missed school whenever possible so students have the consistency they need to learn, grow, and feel connected.
